Steps to Salvation:

1.  Admit You are a sinner.
(For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God - Romans 3:23)

2. Acknowledge that Jesus came to die for your sins.
(For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life - John 3:16)

3.  Repent and Confess that Jesus is Lord.
(If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:9-10)

Our Vision Statement

"Serving Augusta as a Mission Station and Care Center"

Family Worship Center Church of God in Augusta, Maine is a family of believers in Christ committed to carrying on the Lord's ministry, to perpetuate what He did and to do what he would do were He still bodily here.

First

We are here to serve as a mission station in the
Augusta area in order to share the Gospel message
in every way we can to help people to know Jesus
Christ as their personal Savior.

Second
We will endeavor to help every member grow in their faith
and become the minister God has called them to be.  We consider
the members of this church to be the ministers, and the
pastor the equipper for ministry.  The word "minister" means "someone who serves".

Therefore our Mission Statement is:
"Reaching the Lost, Growing People to Minister"

Each part of this two-fold purpose is multifaceted:

In "Reaching the Lost", we will involve evangelism
in our ministries.  We accept that the call to evangelize
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 1:8)
is a command.  We must faithfully
bring the Gospel to all people through local evangelism and world missions.

By "Growing People to Minister", we mean that believers
are to grow in Christ and be edified through preaching & teaching
of the Word of God, fellowship, care & counseling, and discovery
& development of spiritual gifts & personal ministry.  We accept
this responsibility so that the Body of Christ may be properly
built up and equipped.

Our responsibility also involves social concern by performing
acts of Christian love and compassion for all men, to care about
the problems of the needy and suffring, and to show concern/take
action wherever we see need, hurt, or wrong.
